Systems engineer. Building things, breaking things, documenting what survives.
Hey there! I’m Rigel
I’m a Systems Engineer from Mexico, born in the 90s. That means I’ve been lucky enough to witness the entire shift from the analog world to the digital era.
If you remember calling the local time service line, using phone cards on public booths, or handling 5.25-inch floppy disks, we definitely share some core tech memories! I’m from the generation that put dust covers on CRT monitors, typed cmd for the first time in Windows without knowing how to exit that black screen, and watched Pirates of Silicon Valley dreaming of becoming the next Kevin Mitnick.
How it Started vs. How it’s Going
Like many of us, I grew up breaking computers; much later, I actually learned how to fix them! My natural curiosity has led me all over the tech landscape:
- Cybersecurity & Pentesting
- Systems Administration & Data
- Backend, Observability & Cloud Engineering
Today, all that “need to know how things work under the hood” has evolved into over a decade of professional experience, currently working as a Senior Systems Support Engineer & SRE / Infrastructure specialist. I specialize in solving complex hybrid/on-prem deployments, performance tuning, and automating things so we can all sleep better at night.
Current Stack & Interests
I am deeply passionate about tech culture, gaming, Linux, and Apple ecosystems. Right now, my toolkit looks like this:
- Languages: Loving Python and currently deep-curious into AI, SRE, Golang.
- Automation & Infra: Ever learning Linux Server, Docker, Bash, AWS, and CI/CD.
- AI Enthusiast: Absolutely mind-blown by what we can build today using LLMs and autonomous agents.
I love experimenting, building, and learning every single day. If you have an interesting project, a technical challenge, or just want to nerd out about infrastructure and AI agents — say hi!
